The shadows are too dark and too flat in some areas. There's too much contrast too. It just looks more like a photo and it needs to be more colorfull to make it an interesting painting. As for the composition i personally would get rid of the 2 boats at the bottom. The composition would be better without them. And may be add more from the top or to the sides. But that's just my opinion.
