I feel kinda churlish being the only one here to critisise this, but I can't help feeling this loses out in its composition. All the different elements, trees, rocks, vines, river and mountains lead the eye up through the middle of the painting and OUT of the picture...otherwise this is really nice.

AWESOME work. Lots of details, good perspective, colours are good and things are very 'painterly'. ONE nitpick, and it's in line with Kaduflyer's comment. I think the composition could be improved if you removed the closest skull. This would also remove the bulk of your 'warning sign' however, so perhaps placing a drooped skeleton where those other skulls in the shadows might be cool. ^_^ At the moment, that skull is "BAM" in your face, and is far too parallel with the edge of the canvas (in my opinion). BUT, this is still a fantastic piece. Incredibly well done. ^_^ +9

Brr. I like how the guys on the left have just noticed the collection of skulls. They're all "ohh... dear." The subtlety of this peice is what makes it so powerful: you have to look for things. The first thing you see is the bright, wide open space in the middle, and you have to explore through the dark underbrush to find all the important signals... much like the adventurers are having to do.
